My Story Discover

I am a visual artist, modern dancer, acrobat, and aerialist. I graduated from the School of Inquiry and Life Sciences at Asheville in 2017, and am now pursuing my passion for visual arts and sociology at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, while exploring performance art in various outlets across the Asheville community. I enjoy working in a variety of artistic media, including oil paint, ink, and graphite. My current portfolio is experimental as it tracks the development of my own artistic voice and style. It includes works focusing on technical skill as well as those exploring more conceptual themes such as the social construction of identity and reality through the lens of fairytales. These conceptual explorations serve as intersections of sociology, art, and the faces of community.
I am passionate about a variety of social justice and environmental issues, and constantly seek ways to fuse my love for the arts with community engagement and collaborative discourse. I believe strongly in the power of creativity to spark critical discussion, and am working to build a career around the concept of bringing people together from a wide variety of backgrounds and skillsets in meaningful collaboration to affect meaningful change.
